語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)：
1. An animal species becomes(雖然species是以s結(jié)尾，但此處該詞跟在冠次an后，還是單數(shù)，所以謂語(yǔ)become用了單數(shù)) extinct when it fails to produce enough young in each generation to keep pace with the death rate.
2. Better-adapted 更能適應(yīng)環(huán)境的
3. A number of examples can be given of the way in which(定于從句之所以用in which，是因?yàn)閕n the way表示以某種方式) natural environments are being rapidly changed.
4. Likelihood 可能性
5. Because表示因?yàn)槭沁B詞，后面應(yīng)該接句子;because of 表示因?yàn)槭墙樵~短語(yǔ)，后加名詞或代詞。
